Dean is originally from the USA and has been living in Perth since 2004.  He graduated from Huntington University with a BA in Oral Communication and completed a Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary.  While at ATS, he worked for Global Leadership Inc, an organization committed to developing Christian leaders around the world.  He was on staff of Subiaco Church of Christ and now ministers along with his wife Lisa at Whitford Church of Christ in Mullaloo, Western Australia.
