Lincoln Christian University (LCU) is a Christian higher education community whose mission is to nurture and equip Christians with a Biblical worldview to serve and lead in the church and the world. Founded in 1944, Lincoln has grown to an annual enrollment of about 1,000 with more than 5,500 graduates serving in nearly every state in this country and in more than 120 other countries worldwide. James D. Strauss Worldview Lectureship The University provides both a fall and spring lectureship series each year. Every fall, the James D. Strauss Worldview Lectureship honors Dr. James Strauss, a retired LCU professor who taught in the areas of theology and philosophy. The Strauss Lectureship is typically held the second Tuesday and Wednesday of October. J.P. Moreland, Ben Witherington, David Dockery and Nancy Pearcey are just some of the most recent guest lecturers. The 2010 Strauss Lectureship will be October 5 and 6 with guest speaker Dr. David P. Gushee.
